Hormone Balance

Remember when you honestly felt like yourself? When everything didn't make you cry... or tick you off? When you used to go through your days feeling confident and in control?

As a woman enters her mid-thirties and until she is in her late forties, she can be said to be pre-menopausal. It is during these years that the balance of hormones produced by the endocrine system first begins to shift. Progesterone, the "feel good" hormone, is the first hormone to decline and drops 120 times more rapidly than estrogen, setting off a chain reaction of hormonal imbalance. The impact of hormonal imbalance impacts the entire body, as well as the mind and emotions as there are hormone receptor cites in every cell of the body. As progesterone begins to decline and estrogen becomes dominant, hormone imbalance occurs resulting in symptoms such as PMS, breast swelling, irregular periods, weight gain, fatigue, reduced libido, hot flashes, depression, brain fog, insomnia and headaches.

From their mid-thirties on, almost all women are estrogen dominant. The good news is, "You don't have to suffer!" Bio-identical hormone therapies (BHRT), often called natural hormone therapies can safely and effectively treat both the underlying causes and the symptoms of hormone imbalance. Moreover, BHRT is superior to the patented pharmaceutical or synthetic HRT. Clinical studies have shown that synthetic HRT, such as Premarin or Prempro, can lead to an increased chance of developing breast or uterine cancer, heart attacks, stroke, and Alzheimer's Disease. If you are suffering from symptoms of hormonal imbalance, there is real hope and a medically sound solution. You can feel like yourself again. You can get your life back. Your hormonal balance needs to be restored.

Suggested OTC Supplement: Progesterone Cream, Krill Oil, Estriol Moisturizing Cream.

Note: If progesterone alone does not resolve symptoms, you may need to consult a physician for an individualized prescription of more than one bio-identical hormone.
